In 2016, Tianna was heading out for the night with her freshman year college roommate, and a few friends when her roomate posted her on Snapchat. Since her roommate is also Shamar’s cousin, Shamar saw the post, reached out, and asked to be introduced. After a few weeks of texting, Tianna and Shamar met in person for the first time on December 4, 2016, at Cascade. What started as a casual group outing became the beginning of something much more meaningful. Over the months that followed, their connection continued to grow as they got to know each other more deeply. Then, on May 5, 2017, during a birthday dinner celebration for Tianna, Shamar asked her in front of her friends if she would be his girlfriend. She said yes, and ten years later to the day, they will begin their next chapter as husband and wife on May 5, 2027.
