Right across from the hotels there are some great restaurants and shops to poke around.

The Shops at Somerset Square

One of our favorite spots for tacos and margaritas! Glastonbury is a great spot for dinner with lots of good restaurants and shops in the area.

Sayulita Restaurant

A great spot to get a hike in and check out some beautiful waterfalls.

Devil's Hopyard State Park

David lived here for 13 months before we met in FL! Check out Mystic Seaport or Mystic Aquarium and of course make a stop at Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream. There are so many good restaurants, one of our favorites being Red 36.

Mystic

Visit William Gillette’s inspired mansion perched high above the Connecticut River to take in some history, architecture, and stunning views. Tour the modern medieval stone castle or hike the wooded grounds.

Gillette Castle State Park

Stop here after the ceremony for a local IPA! There is usually a food truck set up outside as well. They even have a Michigan flag hanging proud - Go Blue!

Rule of 3 Brewing

The drive is well worth it! As you can tell we love our ice cream. David’s favorite is Blueberry Cheesecake or Brownie Explosion and Michelle’s is Purple Sable or Basil - trust us they're all amazing!
