When thinking back to 2020, one might remember how horrible and chaotic it was with the pandemic in full swing. But it was in 2020 that Raegan and Blake found each other. To escape the lockdown, Raegan decided to invite a few friends to Table Rock Lake. It was that weekend in May that would change their lives forever. Blake just happened to be at the lake that weekend as well. One of the girls knew one of Blake’s friends so they decided to meet up on the water. When the boys pulled up on their boat, Raegan jumped onboard and immediately ran into Blake. While cliché and even a bit cheesy, it was truly love at first sight. The two groups hit it off and spent the entire weekend together. More importantly, by the end of it all, Raegan and Blake were dating. The rest of that summer was magical. Lake trips weren’t just for the weekend but weeks at a time. What else are you going to do with everything on lock down? These two love birds spent the entire summer together growing their relationship before they had to go back to school. Then, there was the long-distance phase of the relationship. While they lived hundreds of miles apart for the next four years, their love only grew stronger. It was that time and distance that, while challenging, brought them even closer together. They always left the light on and in doing so found their way back to each other. That light now shines brightly on their future together. As they reflect on their journey, they are overwhelmed with gratitude as they see how the Lord continued to show up in every detail. There was truly a reason for every season, and He brought them back together in His perfect timing.
