Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony, which will begin promptly at 4:30 PM. You are welcome to arrive at the venue any time after 3:30 PM. Please note, the ceremony is outdoors.
Your invitation will indicate if a guest has been reserved in your honor.
For our sangeet, Indian attire is encouraged, however, summer semi-formal attire is equally welcome. For Indian attire, we suggest lenghas or sharara suits for women, and kurtas for men. We also encourage bright, festive colors. For our wedding ceremony and reception, summer formal attire is requested with an emphasis on bright colors. Indian attire is also welcome. The ceremony will be outdoors, and the reception afterwards will be indoors. Please keep the potentially warm Virginia weather in mind when selecting your outfit.
We recommend finding a local shop so that you can try on items to see what you like. There are also many online websites, just please be mindful of shipping times. If you have specific questions, please reach out to Ann, who would be more than happy to help you further.
Our wedding will be at Tranquility Farm, a beautiful property located in the hills of Purcellville, VA. Our venue is approximately 30 minutes from the airport and about 20–30 minutes from the recommended hotels. If you plan to explore Northern Virginia or Washington, DC during your stay, you may wish to rent a car for added flexibility. There is ample parking at the venue. Ride-share services such as Uber and Lyft are also available in the area.
Yes, we have secured room blocks at three nearby hotels at a discounted rate for your convenience. Each hotel offers complimentary shuttle service to and from Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). Please note, there may be limited availability at these hotels. You are also welcome to choose a different hotel of your choice.
Yes, there is plenty of parking on-site at the venue.
Yes, kids are welcome. We have done our best to include all kids on the wedding invitations, however if we missed someone, please let us know!
We will serve a wide variety of delicious Indian dishes. To accommodate all tastes, there will also be non-Indian food served. If you have a food allergy (other than peanuts... looking at you, Matt), please indicate this on your wedding RSVP.
We are very blessed to have everything we need and kindly request no physical gifts. If you wish to contribute towards our future, we kindly direct you to our registry tab. Your presence is a present, please do not feel obligated to give us a gift.
