Family and friends, due to unforseen circumstances with our venue we had to make adjustments to our reception. Our reception will now be held on our anniversary Sunday 9/19/2021 at MOCA in Virginia Beach, VA. The time frame of events will remain the same, the only changes are the date and the venue. Please let us know if you have any further questions. We still hope all of you can make it and look forward to seeing everyone there.

2020 was the year of the pivot. With so many changes, there was no choice but to adjust and adapt. Despite what is currently going on in society and the world, we are immensely excited to come together and celebrate with you all not only becoming Mr. & Mrs. but reaching our first anniversary!!!!!! Yes, we are still in the middle of a pandemic, but the show will go on! There will be strict guidelines that will be followed, as well as enforcing COVID practices to make sure everyone will be safe to the best of our abilities. We want to ensure that you will have a good time. We thank you for your patience and understanding during this time and process, and we look forward to seeing everyone at our reception!!!! It was Hampton homecoming in 2013 at a get together was where Renae first met Cecil. She had just turned 21, and he was 26. He had come with a mutual friend of theirs but was to himself. Being to himself, she proceeded over to him, asking why he was so quiet, and if he was okay, of course, he chuckled and replied: “Yeah, I’m good.” Renae wanted to shoot her shot and told our mutual friend she was interested and asked if she can ride with him and Cecil to the step show, and of course, he said yes. Once the step show was over, Cecil offered to walk Renae back to her dorm and took the opportunity to get to know each other. Before departing ways, they exchanged numbers, but she didn’t register his number correctly on my phone. Renae thought her life was over, and was praying, hoping to see him on Saturday at the tailgate. Saturday comes, and the tailgate begins. Her sorority was hosting their tailgate, and he finally arrives with his fellow frat brother. From that moment on, she knew it was meant to be, and ever since that day; they've have been inseparable ever since.

It was the day after Valentine's Day in 2018 and the premiere night of Black Panther. They had plans to go see the movie and dress up as Black Panther and Storm; however, Renae wasn't in the mood to dress up with Cecil. After some convincing Renae decided she was going to look the part her way and off to the movies they went. Once getting settled in the movie theater and waiting for the movie to start Cecil kept going in and out of the theater as Renae thought he was looking out for his sister Michaela all the while he was getting ready to propose. Once his sister (who had the ring) finally arrived he asked Renae to give her phone to a couple near them and to follow him. Renae was under the impression they were about to take a photo but Cecil proceeded to take her in front of the movie screen. It was at that moment Cecil got down on his good knee and asked Renae to spend the rest of their lives together. The rest is Rickstory!
