She's been my confidante, my partner-in-crime, and my forever friend. I've frequently had to remind her that I'm the Big Sister and she's the baby!! But I wouldn't have it any other way!!

I met Nikki in the fall of 1989! And she has been one of my best friends ever since! After 35 years of friendship you honestly become more like family. We have experienced some of everything together!! Nikki has always been there for me and when I had my son Jordan, she treated him even better than she treats me!!! Her heart, loyalty and smart mouth are my favorite things about her and I am blessed to have the life long friend I have in her. I'm so excited for her and Kevin!!!

Nikki is my younger sister. A true force in this world, a petite, powerful presence. I remember visiting from North Carolina when Nikki was just a little girl and being the older sister I was in charge of her care. This particular day everything I said she was or was not to do in the absence of parental guidelines. She called Brenda more times that I can count to tell her and remind me I wasn't her MOTHER!! She had an "I'm not THE ONE" attitude then and now. I'm so proud of the woman, mother and friend she is. But most of all I'm blessed to call her my sister.

She was sick and I told our clinical instructor on her. I specifically remember say to her "I'm telling". Then I helped her with her extra assignment since she had to leave clinicals. After this we just clicked and always helped each other through everything. She became one of the most important people in my life! And it all started with telling on her.

I have known Kev since the 9th grade. I don't know why we gravitated towards each other but we locked in instantly. We share both being a Mama's boy, same birthday, same high school, same neighborhood growing up, same passion for lifting weights, same college and same line in Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. We have been through a lot from boys to men. Mama Rambus used to make me cornbread muffins all the time. We used to jump Coop all the time. I don't think we would have been friends as long if I didn't get that fried chicken and muffins, lol. Kev been solid and a stand up guy, he knew what friendship was before we really knew what friendship was.
