Kahri and Brittany were initially co-workers who discovered they had several things in common. They both are Alumni of CSUN, lovers of music, and lovers of supporting others in the mental health field. Naturally, they began to seek solace within one another on a professional level. As their friendship grew, so did an understanding of one another that few people get to see. Kahri was witness to Brittany in her natural element, work. He was naturally attracted to her intelligence, beauty, and her fearless demeanor regarding whatever was right for her clients. Brittany got a chance to feel heard, and understood on a level she never had before from the most patient, handsome, friend turned admirer. For her, she never felt so emotionally safe before, ever. Yet and still, professionally platonic it would stay for another year until one defining moment when Brittany felt her heart open up to him in a way that it never had. It was as if she could finally see him with her whole heart and not just notions of what should and shouldn't be. Ultimately, the rest is Griggstory..

On NYE Kahri surprised Brittany with a staycation at their favorite little beachside hotel in Marina del Rey. It was still in the midst of the first wave pandemic, with several things closed, yet Kai had special dinner reservations...or so Brittany thought. As they headed out for dinner he asked her to join him for a walk on the beach. Nervously she said "Yes" as she realized something was amiss. As they walked up to the beach Brittany saw photographers positioned, and a perfectly placed rose petal heart in the middle of the sand. Tears began to sting her eyes but the cameras were rolling so, no. Kahri popped the question, Brittany excitedly said "Of course!", and the two had a photoshoot on the beach. Photos pictured here :)
