We're getting married!

We met for the first time, 3 and 1/2 years ago, through the Newman Center at the University of Minnesota. Ian was a second year and Tezzi was first year, and both getting more involved in the community. We first crossed paths at the Catholic Spo Men's House, where Ian lived, when Tezzi tried to convince Ian to join a game of cribbage and Ian graciously rejected her. We talked later that semester and slowly became friends. Over the summer of 2023, Ian reached out to Tezzi over Instagram, commenting on her cute niece she had posted on her story along with a book she had been reading. He claims that he simply wanted to recommend a book to her but she knew it was more than that. We had an overlapping Adoration slot that fall and would often spend time together at the Newman Center before, playing games, talking about the music we had sent each other, and recommending books to one another. We started to grow closer to one another and on September 15th, 2023 Ian finally asked Tezzi out and we went on our first official date on September 16th where we got smoothies and walked at Minnehaha falls. Our dates included lots of walks, Mass on Sundays, Adoration throughout the week, making dinner together, watching good movies, and talking for hours. In the fall of 2024, Tezzi moved into the Catholic SPO Women's house, right down the street from Ian. We have spent the last 2 years growing in community, relationship with one another, and with each other's families. In March of 2025, on St. Patrick's Day, Ian proposed to Tezzi at Silver Lake Park, and we are so excited to be able to share our special day with the people closest to us!
