Castle Rock Downtown Castle Rock offers local shops, coffee spots, and great dining. The Outlets at Castle Rock are nearby for shopping. Castle Rock Trail and Rock Park are great options for a short walk with scenic views. Red Rocks Amphitheatre About a 35 minute drive away, Red Rocks is a must see. Even without a concert, the views, hiking trails, and visitor center make it worth visiting! Downtown Denver Approximately 30 to 40 minutes away and offers a variety of restaurants, breweries, and attractions. Union Station, Larimer Square, and the RiNo Arts District are popular areas to explore. Outdoor Activities Colorado has amazing hiking, and there are plenty of beautiful options close to Castle Rock and Denver for all activity levels. Here are some guest-friendly favorites: Ridgeline Open Space is a local favorite with wide open trails, rolling hills, and stunning Front Range views. It’s perfect for all fitness levels and easy to customize your distance. Rock Park offers a short, scenic loop around the iconic Castle Rock formation — great if you want something quick but memorable. Philip S. Miller Park has a mix of paved and dirt trails with panoramic views. Challenge Hill is popular for those wanting a little workout with a reward at the top. Castlewood Canyon State Park is about 20–30 minutes away and one of the most scenic nearby spots, featuring canyon overlooks, creekside paths, and easy-to-moderate trails. Spruce Mountain Open Space is ideal for guests looking for a longer hike with elevation and beautiful summit views, while still staying close to town. We recommend comfortable shoes, water, and checking the weather before heading out! Colorado sunshine and views are worth it!
