In true millenial fashion, we met on Hinge, in January 2020 and started dating not long after. For a couple of months, things unfolded the usual way — dinners out, weekend plans, and getting to know each other little by little. Then mid-March rolled around, and well… everything changed. As the world shut down, we went from “seeing where this goes” to navigating lockdowns, stockpiling wine, and spending most nights playing Mario Kart and figuring out what to make for dinner (or which place still delivered). It wasn’t the typical start to a relationship — but looking back, it gave us the kind of foundation you don’t usually get in the early days. Since then, we’ve shared five years of life together — career changes, travel adventures, new traditions, and the kind of everyday moments that quietly add up to something lasting. Along the way, we’ve figured out how to support each other, challenge each other, and laugh through just about everything (especially the things that don’t go according to plan). In September 2023, while sailing just off the coast of Santorini with Nico’s family, he proposed in the middle of the Aegean Sea. A quiet moment surrounded by sunshine, salt air, and people we love. And now, after two years of answering “So… when’s the wedding?” — we finally have an answer and we can't wait to celebrate with you.
