Question

Is there anything I need to do to enter Hawai’i?

Answer

You no longer need anything to enter the state of Hawaii. But we will leave this safe travels program on in case anything changes. Hawaii Safe Travels Program Website for more info: https://travel.hawaii.gov/#/ To enter the state of Hawai’i you must register on the Hawai’i Safe Travels Program website. Create an account and add your flight by clicking on “Trips”. Once flight is added, click on “Apply for Exemption/Exception from Quarantine”. Click on “COVID Vaccine Exception” and upload your Covid vaccine card. Once all is complete, you should get a QR code via email and/or the website. Your airline may check your QR code prior to flight departure or when you land in Hawai’i.

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

We want our wedding to feel casual. Men in Hawai’i usually wear Aloha shirts and women cute beachy dresses. But we want you to feel comfortable and sexy, so wear what makes you feel good! This is an outdoor wedding on the polo fields along the beach, so keep in mind August’s temperatures are normally mid to high 80s with humidity mid to high 80s.

Question

In what area should I stay on Oahu?

Answer

Our wedding will be at the Hawaii Polo Club on their polo field along the beach. The polo field is in Mokuleia/Waialua. It is better to find a place anywhere in Mokuleia, Waialua or Haleiwa to avoid the “north shore traffic”. If you stay anywhere north of Laniakea beach-such as Waimea, Pupukea, Sunset Beach, Kahuku, Laie, you may run into the “turtle beach traffic” which can turn a 30 min drive to 1-2 hour drive. Kahuku includes Turtle Bay Resort. If the North Shore is a little too country for you, there are lots of hotels and airbnbs in town such as Waikiki to choose from. When people visit Oahu, they do love being on the east side of the island—Kailua and Kaneohe. However, it does rain more on the east side. The west side of the island is a lot drier—Kapolei, Ewa, Koolina.

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

For TEA CEREMONY: There are lots of free street parking on Haleiwa Road or at Haleiwa Boat Harbor. All are walking distance/across from our house. Please do not park on our street (Haleiwa Loop) as it can upset our neighbors. At Hawaii Polo Club: there are lots of free parking on site.

Question

Are masks required?

Answer

No, masks are not required to attend wedding. But if you will be more comfortable with a mask on, please feel free to wear one.
