We’re getting married!

Theresa and Jonathan met in January 2020 at Jonathan’s niece’s first birthday party — a quick 15-minute visit that turned into a lifelong connection. After chatting online and spending more time together, their relationship grew through shared adventures, laughter, and unwavering support for one another. From hikes and weekend trips to facing life’s challenges side by side, they’ve built a relationship grounded in love, balance, and friendship — proving that sometimes opposites really do complete each other.

Jonathan first noticed Theresa the moment he walked into his niece’s birthday party — during a quick break from work. After being introduced by his mom, the two shared a short but memorable conversation (including Theresa mentioning she was a “performing mermaid,” which definitely caught his attention). They connected on Facebook soon after, and what started as casual conversations quickly grew into something much more.

On their third date, Jonathan took Theresa hiking at Thatcher Park on a beautiful sunny day. After spending hours talking, laughing, and enjoying the view, they ended the night with dinner and a movie. When Jonathan dropped her off at home, Theresa gave him their first real kiss — and she still remembers how adorably giddy he was.

In November 2022, Jonathan planned a surprise proposal disguised as a couples photoshoot at Dutchman’s Landing. During the shoot, he got down on one knee — nerves and all — and (accidentally) added an extra “Marie” to Theresa’s middle name when he asked her to marry him. After a quick “try again,” she happily said yes, and they celebrated that evening with family.

Theresa is a creative spirit and self-described “jack of all trades” who expresses herself through art, dancing, and whatever inspires her in the moment. She brings energy, humor, and passion into Jonathan’s life, while he brings calm and steadiness into hers. She says their love has grown stronger through every challenge, and she can’t imagine facing life with anyone else.

Jonathan is a family-oriented introvert with a love for good food, movie nights, and spending quality time with the people he loves. He describes Theresa as his other half — the one who balances him perfectly. He is proud to share that he is almost three years free from gambling and is grateful for the support of loved ones who helped him along the way.
