We're getting Married!

It all started at a social bar in downtown Columbia. I noticed that she was out on the dance floor by herself dancing. I gathered up the courage and walked over to ask her to dance with me. She gave me a smile and we danced the whole night! At the end of the night, I gave her a hug and told her I'd love to hear back from her. We exchanged numbers and went on our way. One week later, we went on our first date at Rockaway Athletic Club, and I was super nervous. However, when I saw her and sat down the nerves immediately went away. From that point forward it felt like I was talking to the love of my life. We clicked that well, and since then we've never looked back!

Theresa had a huge Army concert for the 4th of July and I was going to be in attendance. I had been talking with her leadership so that I could propose to her on the big stage. When we got to the concert day, it was pouring rain! I was so nervous because there were talks of cancelling the show. However, the rain subsided and the show ultimately went on. As she was changing her set music, I sneaked around to the back of the stage. They brought me up behind her, and she had no idea I was standing there. Her commander asked her to stand up to which she was very surprised and confused, and then he asked her to turn around. When she spun around, there I was on my knees with the ring. She of course said "YES!" as she basically snatched the ring from my hand and put it on. We embraced in the rain, but in our hearts the sun was shining bright for our new future together!
