They matched on Bumble back in November 2016. It was a 'spirit of the moment' first meet-up at Philadelphia Rock Gym where Theresa was an active member. We were messaging that day, so just decided to meet up. Why not!? Brendan hooked Theresa with his humor and humility being shown up by an 8-year-old climber that night. For their second date, they went disc golfing where Brendan impressed Theresa with his adventurous attitude despite being the beat again in another competition. Their 3rd date was axe throwing in Fishtown when Brendan asked "Do I have to sign a waiver for every date?". Fast forward to May 2019, and the two adventure-seekers had already been living together in their Manayunk apartment and got engaged at Marymere Falls in Olympic National Park. They have since traveled across the country checking off as many National Parks as possible the past 4 years including Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Yosemite, Assateague & Chincoteague Islands, Olympic, Mount Rainer, Grand Canyon, Arches, Canyonlands, Capital Reef, Bryce Canyon, and Zion. They have since bought a house together in Bryn Mawr and added another travel partner, border collie: Banjo Adonis Magoo, touring both Shendandoah and Acadia National Parks as a family.
