How We Met

Ryan & Theresa met at a house party in Roseville, CA in November 2014. They saw each other from across the garage and Theresa went up to Ryan and asked for his name. She kept calling him Ursula all night because his last name was Ursiny and she got confused. They stayed up until 3AM that morning talking about everything from Harry Potter obsessions to their life goals. They shared their first kiss that night, and after Ryan dropped Theresa off at home, she told her mom that she had met the man she was going to marry.

The Proposal

Ryan asked Theresa to marry him on December 11th, 2018. They were staying at a bed & breakfast in Mendocino, CA and had gone for a walk to the ocean. He got down on one knee and asked her to marry him, and it was perfect, even though Theresa thought he had fallen at first because she couldn't understand why he was on the ground. Tears were shed, she said yes, and they celebrated with some beautiful champagne and brownies that were waiting for them in the room. It was an amazing, emotional day!

Covid-19

Due to Coronavirus, our wedding has sadly been postponed from 7/12/2020 to 5/2/2021. I'm sure we will look back someday and laugh at it, but for now it's been a tough decision and transition! We went from being 75 days away to 369! We wanted all of our guests to be comfortable in going to our wedding, which had a large part in our decision. No matter what we are blessed to have each other, even with a date far away :) We have decided to do color-coated bracelets for our guests when you enter the wedding! Green means you feel comfortable with hugs and closeness, yellow means you are okay with talking but not touching, and red means you would prefer to stay 6 feet apart. Masks will be your choice; all Forest House Lodge staff will be wearing masks. Please stay home if you are feeling ill; we understand.
