Jarell and Gabrielle met at a small group Bible study with their campus ministry in the fall of 2012. Their first conversation was about movies like "Monty Python and the Holy Grail," which Gabrielle thought she would never be able to get on board with. Neither thought much of it. However, it wasn't long before Gabrielle was smitten. Knowing that Jarell didn't have a car, Gabrielle started offering him rides to church events. Many hours in the car led to a fast friendship. By this point, it was November and time for the group Christmas party and Christmas break. At the Christmas party, Jarell and Gabrielle spent a lot of time together--as friends. Jarell's best friend Caleb texted him later: "Hey man, do you like Gabrielle?" That question started the journey. Jarell set out to figure out the answer to the question, as he hadn't really considered it before. Countless hours spent on the phone and Skype over the break led to the start of something new. January of 2013, Jarell and Gabrielle spent several days getting to know each other anew, and then on January 25 Jarell asked Gabrielle to be his girlfriend. So started a fantastic adventure!
