The TECO Streetcar connects Downtown Tampa and Ybor City making it one of the best ways to get around the city. There is a stop by Hotel Haya and it's free to ride! The streetcar runs until 2:00 am on Friday and Saturday nights. This is Tyler's favorite way to get around Tampa.
Sparkman Wharf is an outdoor food hall located in Channelside. It's one of our favorite places to grab a bite to eat or a drink when the weather is nice. Morgan's favorite food stall is Edison's Swigamajig for a fish sandwich!
Armature Works is a food hall located on the Hillsborough River in Tampa Heights. There are a ton of different options making it a great place to eat for a group. We love the Cuban food at Hemingway's Cuban Kitchen.
Our favorite place in Tampa to watch a sports game and eat wings. We suggest going during happy hour, which is daily from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Note: if there is a home Lightning game expect an extended wait, but it's the place to be!
Great place to grab a Cuban sandwich and a café con leche. Save room for their flan!
Oxford Exchange is a restaurant, bookstore, and lifestyle gift store. We recommend making a reservation if you plan to eat here as it is one of Tampa's most popular spots for brunch. If you aren't able to make a reservation, you can still grab a coffee at Buddy Brew (local coffee shop with a location in OE) and check out the stores.
The Columbia is the oldest restaurant in Florida and one of our favorite places for a date night! They are famous for their 1905 salad (it's seriously the best) and sangria. There is also a more casual location at the Tampa Bay History Center in Downtown Tampa.
Morgan's favorite local ice cream shop in Tampa! They have locations in Ybor, Armature Works, and Water Street.
A local brewery with great beer! Morgan's favorite is the Orange Crush.
A fun cocktail bar that features drinks made famous by various hotels throughout the world. They also have a decent selection of local beers. Tyler's favorite cocktail is the Hotel Nacional!
The Tampa Riverwalk is 2.6 miles long with shops, museums, and restaurants along the path. It's a great way to explore the city!
A great way to learn more about the history of Florida and Tampa. It's open daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and located on the Tampa Riverwalk. After you visit the museum, you can grab a glass (or pitcher) of sangria at the Columbia Cafe.
The Water Street Market takes place every third Sunday of the month from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, which will be March 16th. It's a great place to find handmade gifts or to grab a treat.
If you're staying for a long weekend, we recommend going to the Lightning Hockey game on March 17th. Go Bolts!
