Travis first messaged Kelsy on Facebook while at his brothers house watching the Miami dolphins do what they do best....lose. Travis used this opportunity to tell Kelsy that his mom was talking about her suggesting Travis pursue "a girl like me" (I think that was a good thing). Naturally he chose this to be the one and only time he listened to his mother and asked to take Kelsy out sometime to make his mom proud.....(slick with the words). Kelsy made him wait a couple of days before she asked "are you using your mom to ask me on a date?" with a reply faster than a bullet from a gun Travis said "what are my odds if I genuinely want to get to know you? because if my odds are bad the I'm definitely using my mom as a reason." The ice was broken and the messages became more frequent along with the laughs! Most of the first couple of dates were spent on Sundays watching football... Kelsy began to think she was just a Sunday girl! Travis was quick to reassure Kelsy there were in fact other days of the week he would like to spend time with her, but he never let her forget she was only suppose to be a Sunday girl. Fast forward 2 years when they took their first (out of the country) vacation together! Kelsy thought it was celebration of a couple things; graduating nursing school, Travis's first time out of the country, and the decision to move in together! What Kelsy thought was going to be a casual dinner date turned into the most beautiful proposal, (I do not remember a single thing said I just cried) that moment could not have been any more perfect. Kelsy said yes to starting a new life as an engaged couple and (almost official) step mom to Scarlett & Kylo! Making the moment even more special, Travis pointed out a personal touch he added to the ring.....an engraving on the inside that reads "Everyday's Sunday" We are so excited to start this new chapter of life together, and thank everyone for sharing this journey with us!
