Mike and I were setup by my childhood best friend, Joane - she was getting married and planning her wedding. Her husband, Dominic, grew up with Mike and his brother Kevin. Once she got engaged, she had the idea to try to hook us up. I had no interest as I just wanted to be single. Joane got the chance to play matchmaker, and she took it. I was a bridesmaid, and Mike a groomsman - so, of course she saw the opportunity to pair us together. Mike and I met the night of their rehearsal dinner, he was dirty from his construction job, and was running late. I said to myself, okay I guess he's cute. We rehearsed for the wedding, had dinner, and the bridal party went out for some drinks. It was kind of like a high school moment where some of the girls were whispering to him - hey she thinks you're cute. He was, and is, quite shy. The next day the wedding goes on as planned, we all have a great time celebrating our newlywed friends. When it came time for us to walk down the aisle, we were laughing and having the time of our lives. Which, was captured by the photographer :) By Sunday night, the day after their wedding; he had followed me on instagram and sent me a message to ask me on a date. I decided to give him a chance. From day one Mike has been so good to me, and from there on out we were inseparable.
