Saturday, April 23 2022 - We met at dinner at a sister's house. I was introduced to a group of brothers and sisters. It was love at first sight when I laid eyes on Joshua Randerson....NOT! But I did enjoy his company, and the group of us started hanging out pretty regularly. I was happy to have some new friends that made me laugh till it hurt. Sunday, November 20 2022 - Suddenly, it all changed. Josh gave his first public talk. We were friends by this time, so of course I was invited and of course I wasn't going to miss it. He did amazing. I was very proud of my completely platonic (but not for long) friend. Later that evening, a small group of 7 or 8 of us went to J Alexanders after the initial restaurant. I guess Josh wasn't ready to go home because he joined us; I was surprised. The restaurant was fun. Eventually the crowd dwindled to just 4 of us. I was talking to Josh...one on one....for the first time ever. We talked for so long that the employees had to finally kick us out! When I got home, I couldn’t sleep (Oh, by the way, I was starting my new job the next morning, so this definitely didn’t help!). I was so intrigued by this man and wanted to talk to get to know him better. I was too chicken to call, so I reached out and started texting him. I can literally write an essay on this, but I will spare you. I'm going to speed things up. Sunday, January 1 2023 - I was supposed to be at Ford Field watching the Lions, but I was sick with a cold. Who knocks on my door? You already know. He brought me soup, cough drops, Dayquil and Nyquil!! I was taken aback. It was so simple yet so thoughtful and meant a lot to me. When I told my mom, she said "unless he makes a habit of bringing soup to sick girls, I think he likes you." There were many signs I knew Josh liked me, but that was my favorite. And of course the feeling was mutual. *A couple weeks later * Monday, January 16 2023 - Josh got a puppy and brought it over so I could meet him. What was written on the tag around his collar? “Kim, will you be my girlfriend?” I lost it!!!! I ran around the house like an idiot. When I have a lot of emotions, words fail me but my feet don't! Mariam got it all on video. Okay now I’ll speed things up for real. We dated for a year and four months, he proposed, and now we’re getting married!!!!!The end.
