(Alex) Max and I met my freshman, his junior year at college. Funny enough, Max found me quite annoying when he first met me. At the time, he was rooming with my brother, Henry, and our best friend, Tyler, so I was the frequent girl stopping by to say hello and chit chat with Tyler about our classes. Inevitably, we forged a close friendship. As Max's undergraduate career came to an end, we were both uncertain if our friendship would survive graduate school in Texas. To our luck, we didn't skip a beat. Our evening walks through campus were replaced by weekly phone calls where we chatted about everything from islamic extremists (Max studies this for a living lol) to the poor grammar in my latest paper I asked him to proofread. As time went on, I took my big plunge to DC and found myself making frequent visits to visit my brother -- and you guessed it, Max. Not long thereafter, Max visited DC for the summer and after some much needed pushing from our good friend, Sarah, (and a bit of tequila) the rest is history. (Max) I met Alex in my junior year at Morehead. I had just gotten back from a semester abroad and returned to my old room when suddenly Henry’s sister kept stopping by in the evenings. She was cute, but too chatty. I didn’t expect that we would become such close friends, yet alone newlyweds. Soon we were always together – attending classes, getting lunch, taking walks in the evening. We talked about everything: Tyler’s strange new fashion choices, politics, philosophy, religion. When I graduated and moved to Texas, I was worried that we wouldn’t stay in touch. Alex made sure we did. We talked at least once a week and made frequent trips to visit each other. When we fell in love last Summer in D.C., we only formalized what everyone else expected all along.
