We met at good ole' Mila through one of our mutual close friends - Ms. Katie Pluto! I bought Kev a drink to thank him for getting me into the club and Kev was clearly smitten pretty much instantly! If you live in Miami, you know girls don't often buy guys drinks - ha! I was traveling after that to see a friend in Nashville, but on my way back, I saw a photo of Kev looking like a snack on Instagram and liked it. It was the reassurance he needed to ask me out on our first date officially! He took me to Call me Gaby on Miami Beach where he proceeded to nervously tell me he was a great guy - no porn or gambling addictions (unsolicited confirmation). After dinner we had a night cap at Barceloneta where we shared our first kiss. By the end of our first date (on a Tuesday) he had already asked me to see him again on Thursday AND Friday. I agreed to Thursday and by the end of our second date I was hooked on KP. We've been together without looking back ever since. He is by far the best man I've ever met and I've never felt more loved or adored.
Kev was allegedly planning an extravagant proposal in Scotland before...oops - we got pregnant - haha. So the international proposal was called off, but in true KP fashion - he still made the occasion incredibly special. He took me to a place called The Kampong in Coconut Grove - a botanical garden filled with beautiful greenery and peacocks. We wondered around for a few minutes when I noticed he was profusely sweating and a woman was following us...about the time I noticed he was down on one knee and I blacked out everything he said - but my answer was YES! The ring was in a box that said "Grow old with me" and the woman following us was a photographer he hired. We have the most beautiful photos from that day. After we left I kindly asked him to repeat his proposal since I couldn't remember a word of it from the moment! And I am still so grateful I get to call this man my husband and life partner.
