Megan and Jared met through their mutual friends, Haley and Shaun. Shaun was in the fire academy with Jared, and one day he posted a photo of Jared on social media. Megan saw it, thought Jared was super cute, and couldn’t resist leaving a comment. A little while later, Megan was working a shift at Chick-fil-A when Shaun came in—with Jared. (Megan’s pretty sure that wasn’t a coincidence!) She wasn’t sure if Shaun had mentioned her comment to Jared, so she played it cool. She clocked in, refilled their drinks—Jared’s, of course, was lemonade—and then they left. Fast forward to Super Bowl Sunday. Megan texted Haley to ask about her plans, and Haley mentioned that she and Shaun might be heading to Jared’s house to watch the game. Naturally, Megan asked Haley to ask Shaun to ask Jared if she could come too. Luckily, Jared was happy to have her join. That night, Megan watched the Super Bowl at Jared’s parents’ house, meeting Jared and his family all at once. From that day on, they’ve been inseparable. To this day, Jared’s family jokes that Megan and Jared must have known each other before that night but the truth is, they just clicked instantly. And from there, their story began. From that night on, Megan and Jared found every spare moment to be together—between school and work, they studied side by side, shared dinners with their families, and spent weekends making memories (while occasionally pushing curfew… sorry, Dad!). Within six months, they knew it was meant to be. Megan and Jared moved in together and began building a life side by side. Six years later, they’ve grown through every season together, and now they’re stepping into a new chapter as husband and wife. It’s been an incredible journey and somehow, even after all this time, it still feels like the beginning.
