Our first date was at Thirsty Lion on a Sunday afternoon in August of 2021. Cole and Marlee spent nearly four hours getting to know each other over drinks and apps. Little did Marlee know, Cole was suppose to be drafting for his family's fantasy football league that day. Cole had his best man, Jimmy draft for him so he could meet Marlee out for happy hour. Cole did take a few trips to the bathroom during their first date to text Jimmy to make sure he was drafting good players so he had a chance at winning first place. From there on out, Cole and Marlee met each other weekly for dates and officially decided to date on December 4th before Marlee's party on the bike celebration for graduating with her Masters in Nursing. Cole had just gotten off from working his shift and was getting ready to nap before they made their way to Old Town Scottsdale for the party and for Cole to meet some of Marlee's closest friends. Before Marlee left Cole to nap, she built up the courage to ask him what she should introduce him to her friends as. Cole looked at Marlee laughing and said, "you can tell them whatever you would like".... and the rest is history.

February 2024, Cole and Marlee drove up to Telluride, Colorado for a three day trip to visit Marlee's brother. This was their first solo trip just the two of them they had ever taken. The second day of their trip (2/7/24), they had plans to meet Marlee's brother Joey, and his girlfriend, Gabbi in Mountain Village for lunch. That morning, the weather was cold & snowy, and Marlee suggested we cancelled our lunch due to Joey having a long drive... What Marlee didn't know is that Cole and Joey had talked previously and had a an alternative motive for meeting that day. Joey and Gabbi met with Cole and Marlee and they all rode the gondola to the top of the San Sofia station that overlooked the town. Cole told Marlee that he wanted to take pictures to send to family. With the wind and snow, Marlee wanted to put her jacket hood on but Cole said to wait until the pictures were done. Cole and Marlee were about done with pictures when he gave Joey the signal. Joey began to film and Cole anxiously pulled out the ring that he had been carrying in his jacket pocket all day and asked Marlee to be his wife. Marlee instantly said YES! Cole and Marlee also learned that Joey had a few tricks up his sleeve and secretly hired a professional photographer to capture the moment. They all celebrated with pictures and drinks at the hotel bar before Cole and Marlee went to Allreds for dinner to finish the eventful evening.
