Our first true meeting was during the 2022 Homecoming Parade for Fairmont State where we sat in the back of a parade float listening to Phil Collins. After that night, we were constantly talking to each other until a natural bond began to form. Our first official day dating was October 14, 2022, but it wasn't until a few weeks later that we both had our first date at our mutual love, Denny's.

The proposal day began with a very very long car ride from Morgantown to Falling Waters where we would be staying due to a friends wedding happening the next day, however Everly had no idea that the real reason the two of us were going to Falling Waters was to become engaged. After "getting a call" from his parents saying that they would not be home for their arrival, Joel decided that they should instead go to Harper's Ferry, a town where they had been for a date months before. Once they got to the town we decided to climb up a hiking trail to a place called Jefferson's Rock (it is important to know that Everly complained very much during this trip due to how hot it was outside). After arriving at the rock, Everly stared at the view before turning around and finding Joel with love in his eye and on one knee with her two best friends filming with a camera. We're excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in May!
