Zach and I first met in December of 2019 through Snapchat. Zach was the one who had the courage to speak to me first, and what had begun as just talking, had quickly turned into us planning our first date. We kept having to push back our first date because of my course load and Zach's work schedule, but eventually we were able to plan our first date for December 21, 2019. For our first date, Zach picked me up with flowers and an early birthday present, and we went to breakfast at Bob Evans. Later that evening we went back out again, and we went to cyber bowling with friends. Zach then asked me to be his girlfriend the next day, and now here we are almost four years later and our own little family.
After Zach and I got back together, we both knew that we didn't want to lose the other again. Zach began talking with me about getting engaged and what I wanted for a ring. After he knew what I wanted, Zach looked until he found the perfect ring (he did amazing!) and decided to go ahead and buy it. Zach reached out to friends Savannah and Michael to help him with the proposal. They planned for us to go to Black Water Falls for "couple photos" and Zach would propose during the pictures. The day of the planned proposal Zach almost decided to change it to another day because it had been raining for a good part of the day. After waiting it out, the rain finally stopped and he decided to still propose to me that day. He then left work and picked up the ring from his parents house where he hid it, and then came home where we got ready for pictures. Once we got there, all four of us walked to the overlook at the top of the falls and while I was taking pictures of the beautiful view, Zach was on one knee waiting for me to turn around. Of course after turning around I was met with the best surprise, and I said yes! After the proposal, we all celebrated with dinner at Chat n Chew, before going to tell relatives. Now here we are, a little over two years engaged, and counting down the days until wedding day.
