Question

How to travel to Borgo Stomennano?

Answer

We would recommend flying into Florence Airport (FLR) which is the closest airport to Borgo Stomennano and then travel onwards to Monteriggioni by train, bus or car. However, there are more direct flights from the US to Rome (FCO), so you may prefer to fly to Rome and catch the Trenitalia (a 90-minute high-speed train) to Florence. https://www.trenitalia.com/en.html (Roma Termini station -> Firenze Santa Maria Novella station) From Florence, there is a 90-minute regional train to Siena. From Siena, you can take a taxi or a local bus to Borgo Stomennano. You can also fly into Pisa airport which is about 1 hour 15 minutes by car. If you plan on renting a car, you will need an international driver's license

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Shuttles from La Dama Country Rooms, Hotel Monteriggioni, and Borgo San Luigi to the venue will be available. Details are in the travel section. If you are not staying at either of the suggested locations, please make sure to schedule a driver or designate a safe driver.

Question

How do I get around Tuscany?

Answer

We highly recommend renting a car. A shuttle will be provided between the wedding venue and the hotels in the Monteriggioni area the day of the welcome party and wedding only.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to space constraints, we can only accommodate named guests on the invitation. We appreciate your understanding.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

For our welcome party, the dress code is semi-formal or dressy casual. Gentlemen, consider chinos or dress pants paired with a short or long sleeve button-down shirt or polo shirt. A suit jacket or blazer is appreciated, but not required. Ladies, feel free to wear mini, midi, or maxi dresses or two piece & co-ord outfits. Think elegant but more relaxed. For our wedding day, the dress code is garden party formal. For men, a suit and collared shirt. Tie or bowtie is optional. For women, floor length gowns or fancy cocktail dresses. We invite guests to lean into the garden party theme by wearing light colored linen/lightweight suits and pastel or bright summer colors or floral printed dresses. We kindly request that guests refrain from wearing white or ivory. Jeans, t-shirts, and flip flops are not appropriate. Question

What shoes should I wear?

Answer

The grounds at Borgo Stomennano is mostly grass, gravel, and cement. Consider comfortable, stylish shoes that complement the venue's rustic elegance and allow for dancing.

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

Please kindly RSVP by June 1, 2025 to allow us enough time to finalize the guest count for catering, venue seating, and other arrangements. You can RSVP online through the wedding website or opt for traditional mail-in responses.
