The first time they met, Tyler and Haley were at a fire up in the woods just outside of Junction City, OR celebrating the New Year. Haley was actually dating someone else at the time, but that didn’t stop Tyler from noticing her (although he never did walk up and say hi)... Fast forward 3 years later, Tyler finally worked up enough courage to ask Haley on a date. The choice of location for the date was questionable (Tyler took Haley to a vacant Mexican restaurant on the East side of Woodburn, OR), but that didn’t stop her from falling head over heels for him. The soon-to-be Mr. & Mrs. is looking forward to celebrating the big day with all their close family and friends!
Tyler and Haley started dating back in October of 2016. It only took a few weeks for the two to realize they were meant to be. If we’re being honest though, Haley started planning their wedding long before he ever popped the question haha! Fast forward a year and she started to learn that patience is a virtue and sometimes the best things take time. Although that didn’t stop her from getting her hopes up as each weekend passed and he didn’t get on one knee... Soon March 2018 came and the two decided one weekend to take a spontaneous trip over to eastern Oregon. It was beautiful. Snow was falling where the locals said it never does. They stayed in a cozy cabin, with a view of a small pond out the front door. Of course Haley thinks to herself “this is definitely going to be the weekend he asks! This is probably why he planned the last minute trip!” Saturday night came around and needless to say, no ring.......yet. The two drove home Sunday morning and arrived at Tyler’s parents’ house. For those of you who don’t know, his parents live out in Noti, OR on a beautiful piece of property. Shortly after their arrival, Tyler told Haley she should come check out the deer camera with him. After walking about a half mile on the backroad behind Tyler’s parents’ property, he helped Haley down an embankment leading her to a creek bed. It was then as Haley was looking down the creek for possible signs of deer, that she heard Tyler say “I think this is how it goes, will you marry me?” Bless his sweet heart, as she turned around, he was down on one knee.....with the box turned upside down! Haley let out a giggle responding with “the box is turned upside down you goofball, and it’s about dang time you asked me.” After the proposal, Tyler informed Haley he needed to check the trail camera to make sure it caught the proposal in action. Unfortunately, his master plan was defeated by an accidental delay. Nevertheless it was a romantic gesture, and it’s the thought that counts!
