Vic had been doing some holiday shopping at Towson Town Center and decided to stop into Megan's store. Meg noticed Vic instantly and dug into why he was there, who he was shopping for, and whether he was dating anyone or not. "No, I mean for me. I'm interested." It was probably the single-most daring thing she had ever done, and definitely one of the best decisions of a lifetime.
Earlier in the week, Vic had made dinner reservations at one of their favorite restaurants. It had been raining all day, so he held the umbrella for Meg on their walk to the car. In true Vic Perkins fashion, he had composed a playlist for the event, full of songs that had created the background track to their relationship. He must have planned it perfectly, because right when they pulled up to the restaurant, their song came on. Vic got out of the car, came over to Megan's door, and asked her to hold the umbrella. Out came a ring box, and before Vic even got the chance to ask, Meg had already said "Yes!"
After months of planning, agonizing, and fearing for the worst, we eventually decided to move forward with a micro-wedding. Surrounded by immediate family, we were able to legally tie the knot in Big Gene and Leslie's old backyard, right off the water. It was a beautiful day we can only hope to recreate on a larger scale in April. You can see photos from our micro ceremony on the photos tab.
