Where do you recommend we stay?

Answer

Tampa is a vibrant city with gorgeous views. Downtown Tampa is only 30 minutes from our venue, 10 minutes from the airport, and just a 30-40 minute drive to the beaches! We recommend Downtown Tampa for these reasons. The Marriott hotels we have carefully selected will make for an amazing stay! See our travel page for more information.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

While you might think a November wedding will be chilly, early November in Tampa is very enjoyable. Think mid to high 80's during the day, still pretty warm, but not as hot as the summer. Temperatures will likely drop into the 70s for the evening. We recommend checking the weather app when packing for our wedding weekend! While our ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outside (covered and uncovered), our reception will take place in an air-conditioned building.

Will your ceremony take place on the beach?

Answer

Nope! We fell in love with a venue in North Tampa. We will, however, enjoy a fun beach day the day after the wedding as listed in our schedule. We definitely encourage you to discover the beautiful white sandy beaches and blue water that is Clearwater or St. Pete!

Can I bring my children?

Answer

We love your children and all of the kiddos in our big family! But for our welcome gathering, wedding ceremony and reception, we’re limiting the children in attendance to our flower girl and ring bearer. We greatly appreciate you making other arrangements for your family. Should you plan on traveling with your children, they are welcome to join us for the beach day happening the day after the wedding.

What should I wear?

Answer

We want you to look AND feel good! Our wedding will take place at the elegant and enchanting SoireEstate, a sophisticated garden-inspired venue. We invite you to dress in cocktail attire to complement the timeless and refined setting. Think a level up from business casual and a level down from black tie formal.

Can I wear heels?

Answer

Oh yes you can! The bride is 4'11. Heels are kind of her thing! Skinny or chunky, you won't run into any problems wearing heels at our venue.

Should I rent a car?

Answer

Calling a rideshare car (e.g. Uber or Lyft) in Tampa is quick and easy, and options are abundant to and from our wedding venue. However, you may decide that renting a car is the best option if you plan on spending more time in the city and driving over the bridge to access the beautiful beaches.

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! There is plenty of parking at our venue, which is only 30 minutes from downtown Tampa. If everyone in your party plans on drinking (there will be delicious cocktails!), we recommend you take Uber or Lyft, which are both abundant in the area. You can also pre-schedule your Uber pickup at the venue.

Are the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception happening at the same place?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony, following cocktail hour, and reception will all take place at our venue, Soire Estate.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation includes a plus one, their name (or “+ guest”) will be listed on the envelope or RSVP. Due to venue capacity and planning, we’re only able to accommodate guests as indicated on your invitation. Thank you so much for understanding!

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Absolutely! We welcome you to join us for a welcome gathering at The Rusty Pelican Tampa on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:30 pm. Details are listed on our schedule page. We also invite you to enjoy the beach with us the day after the wedding!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will promptly begin at 4:30 pm. Guests can arrive to the venue starting at 4 pm.
