Caden went on a solo trip to Costa Rica in 2021 where he met Pau, she showed him around and little did they know they were going to be the best travel partners. After 10 days exploring Costa Rica together, Caden returned to the United States telling Pau he will return as soon as he could. After leaving Caden and Pau were in contact through FaceTime and texts, where Caden told Pau he couldn't wait to be back. Pau's family offered him to stay with them next time, which made Caden take the decision that officially started their relationship. Quit his job and come to live in Costa Rica for almost 3 months. Different beaches in Costa Rica, mountains, volcanos and a trip to Colombia later and they starting dating.

After some months of long distance Pau moved to the United States to study, and right before their first year anniversary he decided it was time to pop the question. He took Pau on a "friends trip" which ended up been a 2 hour hike to Whitaker Point, when the got to the "View Point" of the massive Rock there, Caden asked his friends "to take them a picture" and that's when he got on a knee and asked Pau to marry him.
