We first met at a high-school football game back in 2012. After speaking for a few short minutes, we realized our lockers were right next to each other. (Perks of being the 'new kids') Our friendship quickly took off, and we both knew there was something special between us. Flashforward to our senior year just before graduation, Cole decided it was time 'officially' go on a date. And boy, it was well worth the wait. We spent 7hrs trekking around Memphis, visiting the Pyramid, Shelby Farms, and Chickfila in between. The funny thing is, even though we both knew college was right around the corner with universities 1000 miles apart, it didn't stop us from making every moment count leading up to it. Flash forward a few months later, Cole decides to pull an all-nighter (even though we all told him not to) to drive home to Memphis for Christmas break. We had spent all semester rooting for the other's successes, secretly wishing we could be just together. Little did I know that the decision to drive all night was to spend the whole next day spending time with me. It was the 'pick up right where you left off' kind of feeling, and the entire break was filled with so much laughter and happiness that we hoped it never would end. Just before Cole left to go back to school, he said, 'I'm going to transfer to Memphis next year. Would you be cool with that?'. We had the biggest smile on our faces that day. And now, 6 years later, we have those same smiles about being husband and wife.
