We met during our freshman year at The University of Arkansas after Rafe innocently messaged me on Twitter asking where I took a photo with a pig (go Razorbacks!) After talking for a couple of weeks, one day Rafe randomly showed up at my dorm to introduce himself in person, and we instantly bonded over our shared beliefs and personality similarities and ended up talking in my living room for hours. Neither one of us expected anything "romantic" to come from this friendship at the time, but we both remember thinking that we both had every quality of someone we'd want to pursue someday. In fact, I texted my mom as soon as he left about how amazing he was. (Ask her, it's true!) Rafe would pick me up and drive us around any time he had a break from football, and as we got to know each other more over the next few months, we decided to pursue a dating relationship in January of 2015. We began dating long distance after Rafe transferred to SMU for football before our junior year, and we trusted that God had his hand on our relationship in placing him somewhere close to our support system in Dallas. As difficult as long distance was at times, it truly solidified our love for one another and taught us to rely on God in every aspect of our relationship, keeping Him the center at all times. We are so thankful for that season of our lives as it became clearer each day that we knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. Fast forward to our most favorite day... New Years Eve 2018 when Rafe popped the question! We are so excited to enter this next chapter of our lives and are thrilled to share it with our closest friends and family! May 26, 2019 cannot come soon enough! We are so thankful for the support of each and every one of you, and thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for celebrating this next chapter with us! #easypeaveylemonsqueezy
