In 2017 I was hosting events at the Aquarium and would run into this Courtney girl. My friend Jared worked there and when I would go visit him she would pop into the office and flirt a little bit. We eventually became friends on FB and then I got her phone number and it was magic after that! ❤️

We had talked about marriage on Valentine's Day and went and looked at rings the following weekend. How was I going to surprise her though...? At the end of February she went on a girls trip to St. Thomas and would be there for a week. On Wednesday the idea came (credit to Kim Patch) to surprise her in St. Thomas. I was like no way! Then thinking about it some more, I thought this might be the only way to surprise her. I messaged her friends and asked if I could crash the last few days and fly in and do a surprise proposal. They LOVED the idea. The next day, I bought the ring and flights. 3 days later I was in St. Thomas proposing to her on the beach. It was truly magical and you can say she was surprised!
