Here We Go!

Hey Everyone! Just wanted to give you a heads up that we are behind schedule sending invitations out to everyone. Being that the RSVP cards have a date of June 30, 2018, we obviously will allow for RSVPs past this date. Sorry about that! I was working the front desk when Jonathan walked in for his interview. Thankfully, he was hired :) We would hang out in groups after work and eventually started grabbing lunch and dinner - just us two. We had plenty of time to get to know each other. A year later, June 6, 2012, we officially started dating. We were at a Spinal Cord Injury Benefit and that night, he decided was the night to ask me out. We have been inseparable since then!

As many of you know, Jonathan LOVES to travel. I have grown to love traveling to new places because of him! Jonathan and I planned a summer trip and decided on Jamaica! Our first full day there, we had so much! We went on a catamaran, snorkeled, and climbed Dunns River Falls! Saturday morning, we decided to lounge around all day. We grabbed breakfast and went down to the beach and laid out. We had made friends with 2 other couples and they happened to have the same idea of lounging so we hung out together. The guys went out into the water and us girls stayed back. After a while, Jonathan came back and asked if I wanted to do the short sail boat ride. I said "sure" so he walked over to get some information. He walked back and said he was going to grab some waters for us and would be back shortly. He was gone for a while.. but I figured he saw food and stopped to eat again... :} Once he got back, we walked over to get on the little boat. It was cute! We sailed out and were back in 15 minutes! As we got to the shore, I saw that our friends were waiting on us by a cabana. Then I saw something scribbled in the sand. I looked at Jonathan but he looked confused, so I kept walking. He grabbed my arm and asked if I'd read it. I said yes and looked back at the words. I was so confused.. It said "Will You Marry Me?" With a Heart around it. I looked back over and Jonathan was getting down on his knee. WHAAAAT???? He was speaking but I was so shocked, I couldn't focus on what he was saying. All I could say was, "What? Oh Man! Seriously? Oh man! Oh man!" Finally he said, "Kimberly Vanessa Vasquez, Will You Marry Me?". I said "YES" . We were hugging and I realized that there was a man taking pictures of us, literally like a foot in front of us. How did I miss all of this?? He opened the ring box and WOWZAAA! He did amazing! It was all so PERFECT! Needless to say, (In true Kim fashion) I ruined all his other proposal ideas up until that point... :)
