Emily somehow went from dating my friend from high school to my best friend in a summer. Emily Allan (because she married my friend and now has the cutest kids ever) and I bonded over a love for sour patch kids, long chats about life, wearing girly outfits while doing whatever we wanted, river swims, and adventures. From high school drama, to college and living together, to her marrying my longtime friend, to her journey into being the most amazing super mom, Emily has been by my side and I can't imagine my wedding without her. Emily is the mother to our ring bearer and flower girl, so the cuteness for the wedding.

Marissa Pressley

Bridesmaid

Marissa and I met through cheerleading at UNCA. She was the shy new girl in the back who always had the funniest things to say and shared my love of Harry Potter. We instantly bonded over our love of glitter (sorry again to Marissa's parents house for all the glitter that will never come out), crafts, and dance. Marissa and I became close and I was even there when she met her now husband!( Wow that's weird to say) Marissa is my crafting right hand girl and I know I would not have survived the process without her.

Kelly Potts

Kelly is my longest friend. We met at a school dance during my sophomore year, her freshman year of high school, (yes we have all the awkward pictures together) and became friends. We shared a love of Harry Potter, reading, and basically not fitting in with the high school crowd. Kelly and I have gone through so much, college, break ups, moving states, falling in love, that I can't believe how lucky I am to have her as my friend still and stand beside me on this day.

Maddie Propst

Maddie is the little sister I never had. My favorite story is I used to carry her around when she was four and got tired and now she is the same height as me (ugh I feel old typing this). Maddie's grown into such a beautiful young lady, from her early days of sponge bob PJs and a love of ice cream, and I can't wait to share our special day together.

Kim

Officiant

Kim is the second mom, the nurse we call when everything goes down, and the family friend who has always been our rock. When Gary and I talked about who would officiate our wedding, since neither of us belong to a church, Kim was the only person who we could think of that would do it justice (Sorry Dad, still a no). Kim came into my life as my Dad's classroom assistant and quickly became the cool aunt, the godmom and the family we vacationed with. Kim is a wonderful nurse, mother to Maddie and Josh, and is just one of the sweetest and funnitest people you will meet.

Zack Schwartz

Groomsman

Zack and I grew up together in Western Nc. He was a year older in school than myself, and as such, got his drivers licenses first. This was when the fun really began! From the backseats of the school bus, to camping under bridges and fishing, we grew up together and spent several decades getting to know each other. I went to college and he joined the military. This has made it more difficult to spend time together but we still make a few memories catfishing annually or chasing hogs in Oklahoma.
