We met while I was helping my best friend, Hayley, move into her apartment at Midwestern State University. He was good friends with her boyfriend at the time and was also there to help her move in. I remember seeing him and thinking he was so handsome! Later that night, we all went out to the bar and he taught me how to do the watermelon crawl. We thought that we would just be good friends, but God had other plans! A year and a half later, we started dating!

A few days before the proposal, Koa had told me that he would have to work both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, so he wanted to take me to a nice dinner to celebrate the holidays with me. We decided to go to 1845 in Flower Mound. Once we got to the restaurant, Koa came around to open my door and got down on one knee and just stared at me and said "so will ya?" Of course, not letting him get off the hook so easily, I replied "so will I what?". Then finally he popped question, "will you be my wife?" I was so surprised and happy! I said, "YES," and now we are engaged!! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Texas!!
