FAQs

Question

What documents do I need?

Answer

Since we are heading to the Dominican Republic, you will need a valid Passport. Please ensure it doesn't expire within 6 months of our wedding date. You will also need to fill out the DR's electronic entry/exit form (eTicket) online before you arrive at the airport.

Question

What airport should I fly to?

Answer

Please fly into Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ). It’s a smooth 35-minute drive to Dreams Macao Beach

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! Please see the travel page on our website for recommendations.

Question

Do I have to stay at the same resort as the festivities?

Answer

No, While we would love for everyone to stay on property to celebrate with us, we understand if you have other plans. If you are staying in a different location, please reach out to us by October 1, 2026. This way we can ensure your name is added to the guest list at the resort entry.

Question

Do we need to bring cash/local currency?

Answer

US Dollars are widely accepted throughout Punta Cana, making them convenient for tipping and excursions. We recommend bringing small bills—particularly $1s and $5s—for tipping resort staff, though it's entirely optional.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Yes, you are welcome to bring a plus one! Please indicate their attendance when you RSVP.

Question

Are kids welcomed?

Answer

Absolutely! We'd love to have children celebrate with us. Dreams Macao is wonderfully family-friendly and features both a water park and bowling alley, so there's plenty to keep kids entertained. If you'd like some adult time during the festivities, the resort also offers babysitting services for a nominal fee.

Question

Is there a color palette for guests?

Answer

Nope! We want our photos to be as colorful as our guest list. Whether you want to wear vibrant tropical shades, deep jewel tones, or classic black and white, the choice is yours. Just keep it "Coastal-Chic" and sand-friendly.

Question

What happens if it rains?

Answer

We are hoping for clear skies, but if the weather decides not to cooperate, we will move the festivities to our backup indoor location. We will post a definitive update here on our website and send out a text notification by 3:00 PM on the wedding day.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Absolutely! We'd love for you to capture the moment and share your photos on social media. Please tag your pictures with our vow renewal hashtag **#padiazstilldo** so we can enjoy all the wonderful perspectives you've shared.

Question

I still have questions, what is the best way to contact you?
