Let's Celebrate!

David and I met in college at the United States Air Force Academy. We met down at the airfield while flying gliders with some of our friends. I am still salty he never asked to fly with me, but he didn't stop flirting! He said he would never date a cadet, but here we are celebrating marriage years later!

Our relationship started at an airfield, so it was only fitting David asked me to marry him at an airfield! David popped the question after one of my T-1 training flights at Vance AFB in Enid, OK. Apparently the whole base was in on it. As soon as we landed and taxied back to chocks, my Instructor Pilot asked me to open the door so he could talk to the crew chief. As soon as I opened the door and let down the steps, David was there getting down on one knee asking me to marry him! There was a sign held by our closest friends, and of course I said "YES!"
