Seriously though… we met on Hinge. Funny enough, I got banned for reasons still unknown to me, but I wasn’t about to let that stop me. I searched for Adrian without even knowing his last name and thankfully, his is relatively uncommon. I found him, slid into his DMs, and yes… it was embarrassing. But he was an absolute angel about it. We decided to meet up at the end of 2024 and spent a Sunday morning walking nearly six miles around the beautiful City Island in Harrisburg. We connected instantly. Still, with the age difference, I convinced myself it could only ever be something casual. So naturally, I panicked, cut things off, and delivered the infamous “casual isn’t serving me” line. We didn’t talk for over a month. Then I reached out to him about personal training — genuinely not expecting anything more. But seeing him again at the end of April had me questioning why I ever walked away. I shot my shot… only to learn he had started seeing someone else (good for him, honestly). But it didn’t take long before he circled back and told me he ended things because he couldn’t stop thinking about me. He also told me that if we were going to try again, he wanted something real. And in true red‑flag fashion, I told him I wasn’t ready for anything serious. That’s when Adrian said the words that changed everything: “I will wait. I know you’re the one for me.” And so he waited — patiently, lovingly — until I finally came to my senses. The rest has been history.
