Vu and I met during 5th period Biology with Mr. Fujiyama back in our old high school. We also had a few mutual friends but we weren't close, occasionally he would come and hang out with my group and I during our lunches or afterschool. I remember that he was the first one that showed up at my house for my 15th birthday, having skateboarded all the way from his house to mine. After high school, we didn't really talk much, but I do remember this one random day when he called me out of the blue. His car had died in a middle of an intersection and he knew that my dad was a mechanic so he called and asked for a tow truck hookup (sadly he ended up paying too much). That was it for a long time and we didn't speak after that. After a few years, Vu hit me up again to go to the airport for fun (he actually just needed someone to be in the carpool lane with in lol). We were just catching up after not speaking for awhile and then we didn't speak until months later. We reconnected again in 2017 and was talking to each other as friends. We spoke of our sorrows and heartbreak to each other and started hanging out more each time. Each hangout led to a small crush (he had a crush on me first). And we later soon discovered we had shared similar interests. Then came a test of long-distance for a short period. I was leaving to Vietnam for a month and he might have to move to Colorado for a job. I told him that if I came back and he was still in California, then he could ask me to be his girlfriend officially. Thank god he didn't move haha. He later asked me to be his girlfriend at the Aquarium of the Pacific and had an amazing date at Downtown Disney on July 14, 2017. And the rest is history.
