How do I get to Sparta?

Answer

There are two options for flying into Greece: Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos" (AIA). From there, it is 2.5 hours to Sparta via rental car. There is also a bus that goes from Athens to Sparta for about €20 per person. Kalamata International Airport (KLX). From there, it is about an hour drive to Sparta.

How do I get around Sparta?

We highly recommend a rental car so you can explore the surrounding areas of Laconia! There are no Ubers in Sparta, but there are private taxis if you prefer to go this route. Keep in mind: a lot of rental cars in Greece are manual, so keep that in mind if you do end up going this route.
