where can i stay?

Answer

There's hotels & AirBnb's around Parry Sound, as well as the Oastler Lake Provincial Park campground that are options for accommodations. Since it's the long weekend and things book up very fast, we also have a few people who will be camping at the cottage which is always an option for you! If you're stuck on places to stay or you'd like to camp at the cottage please reach out so we can provide further details.

Are you legally getting married?

Answer

We're actually getting legally married the weekend prior to this event, which will be a small ceremony with our family. We really wanted to have a huge party to celebrate with our friends which is what we'll be doing at the cottage! Even though we won't be "legally" getting married, we're still recreating a ceremony with the exchange of rings & vows, followed by speeches, food, drinks, and dancing!

How many people will attend?

We've invited just over 40 friends, so we're aiming around 35-45 people.

Will there be parking?

Answer

The cottage sits on about 2 acres of land with enough space to accommodate cars. If you're concerned about parking your car please message us so we can provide further details! There's also taxi services in Parry Sound that can bring you to the cottage or we have some DD's who can also provide transportation to Parry Sound if you'd prefer not to drive.

How formal or casual is this wedding?

Answer

We would say the vibes are more casual than formal. It's the same in terms of attire, while still looking nice & presentable. Since it's the summer time in August, we can assume it will most likely be hot so we want to make sure you're comfortable! Feel free to wear whatever makes you feel the best during the summer! The bride & groom will be in more formal wedding outfits, but might change into something more casual as the night goes on. Feel free to bring extra clothes & shoes that you can leave inside the cottage if you'd like to change into something more comfortable throughout the night! Bringing a sweater in case it gets cooler during the nighttime might also be a good idea.
