We lived in the same dorm during our freshman year of college. From day one, Teddy was outgoing, ambitious and so much fun to be around. Renee was a bit more on the reserved side but also loved to laugh and have a great time. We grew to become great friends, sharing Statistics 101 notes, hanging out with our large group of mutual friends and enjoying all the typical college experiences. It wasn't until we graduated that our friendship blossomed into romance. We spent many years after college long distance as our careers brought us to different cities across the country. We developed a love for travelling, experiencing different cuisines and live music. Several years later we continue to be each other's best friends, true loves and partners in life. In September 2018 we were finally in the same city, New York, close to family and friends. We both knew it was time to make it official!

The day was December 15th, 2018 and Renee thought it was our typical annual holiday party. Teddy invited a painter who we know from college to create a piece of art during the party. Half way through the event, she unveiled her painting and it was an image of Teddy on one knee. With our friends and family in attendance Teddy popped the big question and Renee said YES!
