Ted and I met at the county fair in September of 2014. From the moment I met him I felt something for him. He on the other hand, took awhile to finally reciprocate those feelings! We became good friends and by the time the next fair rolled around in 2015 we were “attached at the hip”. We started spending time together as often as we could. For awhile we both dated other people, but that didn’t last long. On March 26, 2016 he asked me to be his girlfriend and from that point forward we began this wonderful adventure that has been our relationship thus far. Our time together consisted of square dances, trips to the movies, dinner dates at Tlaque and the forum, just laying around and napping, and spontaneous road trips! He has been my date for both of my proms, my senior homecoming, and family holidays. This past summer he and I took a trip to New Mexico and Arizona to see my dad and older sister and it was an amazing two weeks! While we visited my sister we took a side trip up to the Grand Canyon and that’s when he proposed! There was a storm rolling in and I was beginning to get squirrely. I hate storms! Apparently he tried several times and just as he’d kneel down behind me I’d run away! Just for him to get back up and try again. Finally, my sister managed to get me to chill and tried to get my attention on something down in the Canyon. Just as I start to turn around, I catch him in the corner of my eye, kneeling below me holding a ring! I couldn’t have imagined a better proposal and of course, I said yes! Now after several months of chilling out and enjoying our new relationship status, we have started the long awaited planning period, and are excitedly looking forward to the big day where he and I will become Mr. and Mrs.!
