Ian Robert McCue and India Jade Orban met in January 2019 on a dating app called Coffee Meets Bagel (and YES, oddly enough, God can work through the internet!!). Their first date was 12 hours long—starting with India nervously taking out the trash while Ian was trying to introduce himself, and ending with a forgettable screening of DC's 'Aquaman'. At first, India doubted her feelings for this long-haired, organic-eating, California-living, filmmaker. In fact, AFTER THEIR FIRST DATE she wrote this in her journal: "I don't think he's my husband, but I'm excited for date 2!" It didn't take long, however, for India to see Ian's heart for Jesus, his passion for serving people, and his wildly creative soul. She figured she needed a teammate as sold out for the Gospel as she, and Ian was the perfect fit. Ian quickly formed an admiration for India; this fun-loving, laughter-filled, beautiful, kind woman who stopped approx. 4,643 times to make puns about everyday objects. He admired how deeply she loved Jesus, how she used her talents and life to honor God, make people laugh and let them know they are loved. India made Ian laugh a lot too; he figured he could get used to that. On March 3, 2019 Ian asked—no, TOLD—India to be his girlfriend. And she said yes.

Over the following year the Lord led them through the highest highs and the lowest lows: traveling literally from coast to coast, celebrating college graduation, mourning the loss of loved ones, transitioning to long distance dating, working side by side in film and photography, launching a new company, processing life after college, and fighting through many trials. But through it all, they found a deep love for each other and for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Ian knew he wanted to spend his life with India. To propose, he schemed up a gesture more romantic than any Hallmark flick known to man. Through a myriad of misdirections, India was lead to a park, surprised by her best friend, and presented a choice that would change her life forever. On March 7, 2020 Ian told—no, ASKED—India to marry him. And she said yes.

We have come to the joyful conclusion that we can do more for the kingdom of God together than apart! With excitement and peace, we are choosing each other and Jesus for the rest of our days—because that’s what love does. As we continue on this adventure we invite you to take a front row seat. More than just joining us on our wedding day, we ask you to walk with us in our everyday. Pray for us, speak over us, do life with us—we need you, we want you and love you each to no end.
