What's the dress code?

Answer

We’d love for guests to wear formal attire — nice for photos but still easy to dance in! *Much of the venue is set on grass so you may want to avoid stilettos and opt for shoes that won't sink into the lawn.

There are plenty of great hotels in Charlotte, you are welcome to stay wherever you'd prefer. We have reserved a block of rooms at a local hotel which is where we anticipate most guests will stay. Please check the 'Travel' page for details and booking links.

Will transportation be provided to and from the venue?

In place of formal transportation, we will be offering Uber codes to help get you to and from the venue. More information will be available on the Travel page of this website soon.

Yes — free parking is available on-site for the duration of the event.

Yes, both the ceremony and reception will be at the Alexander Homestead.

Only those listed on your invitation are invited — if you received a plus-one, their name will appear under yours when you RSVP.

The days are generally low 70s to high 60s, with temperatures cooling in the evening. We're planning an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour with the reception being held indoors.
