From a simple direct message on social media, to having their wedding day 7 years later. Vic and Leslie had their first date over a dinner at Paesano’s in Davis, CA 06/13/2018. During that date, conversations seemed effortless. Learning about each other’s interests, backgrounds, likes and dislikes… the night flew by. It seemed like there couldn’t be enough hours in the day, as they just wanted to enjoy each other’s company. Which then lead to Vic, luckily, securing Leslie’s phone number to plan the 2nd date. After a few dates throughout the summer of 2018, Vic eagerly asked Leslie to officially be his girlfriend 08/06/2018 at the very top of the Peña Adobe Hill. Significantly, one of the places Leslie enjoys to go to the most to feel the refreshing breeze from the rolling hills in Vacaville. Throughout their relationship, the love for each other grows day after day. From going on runs throughout the neighborhood, catching a few San Francisco Giants games throughout the year, or trying out new coffee/matcha spots… their favorite thing to do is spend quality time together. Ever since their first date, June of 2018, they loved to just be in each other’s presence, no matter what they are doing. Vic and Leslie compliment one another. Sharing contagious laughter, being supportive through anything, and having a best friend and life partner in one. They truly believe they were meant to be together in this life, and all the other lives that are to follow.
It was important for Vic that, if not all, most of their family was there the moment he would propose. So, what better opportunity to propose at the annual family camping trip in Jenner, CA. During the trip, Vic and Leslie’s uncle, Tio Mike, were biking and found a perfect spot on the cliff side, right on the shore with a beautiful view. The sun was setting perfectly that afternoon and Vic knew immediately that spot was the perfect place to ask Leslie to marry him. With the help of Leslie’s cousins Mary, Nataly, and Omar, Vic proposed to Leslie in an intimate moment with just the two of them. Mary helped document the proposal by recording, helping to save the memory for Leslie and Vic to relive over and over again. With just minutes after, the rest of our family came to congratulate and shower them with hugs and happiness.
