When and where is the wedding?
Answer
Our wedding will take place on November 2nd, 2025 at The Lumen House. The venue is located at 280 Rowan Road, Cleveland, NC 27013. About 45-minutes from Charlotte and 50 minutes from Winston-Salem.

Is there a dress code?
Answer
The dress code is Semi-Formal. Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. We’d love for everyone to look their best and also feel comfortable!

What time should I arrive?
Answer
We suggest arriving at least [15–30 minutes] before the ceremony begins to ensure you’re comfortably seated and ready to celebrate with us.

What is “money spray” or “spraying” and when do I do it?
Answer
In Nigerian culture, it’s tradition to “spray” the couple with money during the celebration — a joyful way to show love, bless the marriage with prosperity, and keep the dance floor lively. Guests who wish to join in can bring small bills to toss or gently place over us while we dance. The money spray will happen during the open dancing portion of the reception, so keep your bills handy and your dance moves ready.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?
Answer
Yes! We’ve arranged a complimentary shuttle for some of our guests. The shuttle will pick up from the hotel at 3:00 PM to take guests to the ceremony, and will return at 10:15 PM from the reception back to the hotel. Seats are first come, first served, so if you’d prefer to have flexibility, we recommend renting a car or arranging your own transportation.

Answer
Yes, there will be a welcome event happening Saturday, November 1st, 2025 at Hello, Sailor! Come enjoy a relaxed evening with food, drinks, and good company by the lake.
