We first met at Franklin Street Tavern on New Year's 2019, but didn't go on our first date until months later. We were casually dating until that Fall when I (Ellie) finally "interviewed" Dylan to decide if we would make it official or not. Spoiler alert: it worked out.
You can catch us at most of the Evansville Thunderbolts home hockey games or anywhere with a food truck! When we stay in though, we love to do puzzles together on our kitchen table while watching Good Mythical Morning on YouTube.
Our first family vacation was to Ocean City, MD with Dylan's fam in the Summer of 2022 and it was so much fun! Ellie hadn't gotten to spend a lot of time on the East Coast before, and it was a week filled with sunshine, crab cakes, and walks to the beach.
Dylan planned to propose during a date night to Farmer & Frenchman. What he didn't know was that Ellie found the ring in his nightstand a week prior to the date! On the 45 minute drive to the winery and all throughout dinner, we were both so nervous that we barely spoke. As the sun began to set, we took a stroll around the vineyard and Dylan got down on one knee. We both blacked out and can't remember anything that was said besides YES! Our friend Katie Stoltz of Goad Photo captured everything perfectly – you can go to the Gallery tab to see more of the photos from our proposal and engagement session!
